Re: 2007 Municipal Pension Plan Retirement Seminar Schedule
for Distribution
The Municipal Pension Plan is once again offering retirement
seminars to plan members. We have enclosed a copy of the 2007
Spring Retirement Seminar Schedule and Application and a notice
that explains the seminars to plan members. We appreciate your
assistance in ensuring this information is distributed to your
participating employees and posted in common areas.
All plan members are welcome to attend, including those receiving
long-term disability (LTD) benefits; however, the seminars are
most beneficial to those within five years of their earliest
retirement age.
The seminars are about three hours in length and there is no
charge to attend. We also encourage plan members to invite their
spouse or partner.
Plan members who want to attend a seminar must complete and
return the application, which is available on our website at
mpp.pensionsbc.ca.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and some
venues fill up quickly so it is important to register as early
as possible.
If there are few registrations for a venue, the seminar may
be cancelled or combined with another seminar in your region.
We appreciate your help in providing this information to plan
members and welcome your questions and comments regarding the
seminar program. Contact Seminar Services staff in Victoria
at (250) 356-8547, toll-free at 1 877 558-5573 or via e-mail
at MPPseminars@pensionsbc.ca
Yours truly
